SMP is proud to announce that it has been recognized as a Gold Lifetime Trustee by the University of the Aftermarket Foundation. The award recognizes SMP’s longtime support of this important foundation. SMP provides scholarships through the foundation annually.

Founded in 1986, and initially named the AWDA University Foundation, The University of the Aftermarket is dedicated to providing funding for aftermarket education programs and research. It continues its mission today, awarding grants throughout each year supporting continued development and distribution of courses in ever-expanding areas of the industry. Last year alone, the University of the Aftermarket Foundation awarded a total of 427 scholarships totaling $706K to talented students planning a career in the automotive aftermarket.

The University of the Aftermarket Foundation’s mission aligns with that of SMP, which offers its own independent scholarship programs each year. SMP is proud to contribute to a worthy cause, ensuring a strong aftermarket for years to come.
