Located only 10 minutes from the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, SMP maintains a 14,000 square-foot facility that focuses on the design, development and delivery of vehicle Control and temperature control training for aftermarket technicians and customer sales forces.
Developed by professionals focusing on the professional aftermarket technician, our training is customized to suit our technicians’ needs. We meet technicians face to face in the classroom, online and on social platforms to cover today’s hottest topics. There, we help them repair vehicles right the first time to be more successful and profitable. Equipped with the most current diagnostic equipment, this facility supports an 8,000 square-foot shop, two modern and comfortable classrooms, engineering testing, 360 catalog imaging, temp control tech lines and a virtual training studio. The space also houses the administrative and office space required to support all aspects of our salesperson and technician training.

PTS On-Demand Technician Training
PTS On-Demand combines the anytime/anywhere convenience of web-based training with the aftermarket diagnostic focus of SMP’s Professional Technician Seminars. With more than 80 on-demand topics available, and more added each month, technicians have access to our expertise 24/7/365.
The expanded PTS On-Demand program features a full menu of mobile-friendly courses designed for the shop diagnostician. Each course also includes a downloadable handout and a certificate of completion.
PTS Professional Technicians Training Program
Our flagship program, SMP’s Professional Technician’s Seminars Training is recognized as the best in the industry and has enjoyed numerous customer and industry awards. Every PTS seminar is reality based, focuses on the needs of the professional automotive shop diagnostician and incorporates the Fleetwood Interactivity System that allows each technician to participate anonymously in the case study diagnostic analysis. Our team of professional instructors teaches a variety of Vehicle Control and HVAC seminars throughout North America. These seminars, available in both English and Spanish, focus on bringing relevant information to the technician in the form of real-life case studies, diagnostic strategies and helpful tips from working aftermarket technicians who are experts in the field. Annually, we train more than 60,000 technicians in the shop, classroom and on the web with over 1,700 seminars. PTS training helps our technicians fix vehicles right the first time, with efficiency and accuracy.
Masters Series Technician Training Programs
The Masters Series of Technician Training Programs provide technicians with an opportunity to study the latest in Vehicle Control and Temperature Control diagnostic strategies at our Corporate Training Center in Irving, Texas. Away from everyday distractions, with a class size no larger than 12 and with at least 50% of available time spent in the shop, these two-day programs provide the ultimate in diagnostic training for today’s aftermarket technicians. Focused on the advanced diagnostician, the program provides hands-on training for advanced temperature control, vehicle control and oscilloscope diagnostics.
At that location we now have engineering testing, 360 catalog imaging, temp control tech lines, a virtual training studio, as well as classrooms and training development.<REPETITIVE.
