SMP Receives Mulitple 2008 Outstanding Training Awards For decades SMP has been recognized as the leader in automotive systems training and has received numerous awards for this outstanding training and customer support. SMP was the recipient of the inaugural AAIA/AWDA Best Training Provider and in 2008 alone, has received three Outstanding Training Awards from their customers, one for the eighth year in a row, all in recognition of SMP’s commitment to helping these customers achieve success through effective training and support. SMP field and in-house training requires a joint effort on the part of the sales force and our training departments. This continued dedication and hard work is what has made this award possible for another year. SMP Technical Training is recognized as the best in the industry. The “Masters Series” Engine Management Technician Training Programs and TCD Advanced Temperature Control Diagnostic Strategies Training taught by nationally recognized automotive trainers provide advanced diagnostic and systems training to thousands of technicians. The advanced, hands-on training courses are conducted at SMP’s Corporate Training Center in Irving, Texas. During 2008, SMP trained over 9,500 technicians through nearly 300 seminars on 29 different engine management topics. SMP has recently unveiled new online Counter Person and Technician training programs that are available through SMP brand websites. Counter Person Training provides in-depth knowledge about the various brand products and Technician’s Toolbox contains useful information to help technicians solve real-world problems.
